UTSA and Alamo Colleges District Kick Off National Transfer Student Week with Summit

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and The Alamo Colleges District came together on Monday, October 21st at the UTSA Downtown Campus to kickoff National Transfer Student Week. Chancellor Mike Flores and President Taylor Eighmy brought key members of their staff together to celebrate past collaboration, discuss present programs, and envision future ways improve the creation of a seamless transition for students transferring to UTSA.

“Over forty percent of our undergraduate enrollment consists of transfer students. The majority of these students begin their academic journey with our partners at the Alamo Colleges District. We are committed to working with Chancellor Flores and his entire team to continue building strong pathways for our students. We recognize that the success of transfer students is our shared success.” said President Taylor Eighmy.

National Transfer Student Week is October 21-25, 2019 and is organized by the National Student Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS). The week is set aside to celebrate transfer students and the professionals who support them on their journey.
