TRiO Day happening April 6th

The TRIO Programs at the University of Texas at San Antonio are proud to host TRIO Day event at the UTSA Main Campus on Saturday, April 6, 2019 for a full day of exciting and interactive programming.

TRIO Day is a day of celebration, reflection and action around increased access to higher education for students. This day will not only celebrate the positive impact of TRIO programs but also serve as an opportunity to commemorate the annual achievements of all the Federal TRIO Programs.

The theme of the day is “Lead Now,” which will encourage students to take action on their personal educational journeys. Our keynote speaker, First Lady of San Antonio, Erica Prosper, will speak about her efforts to improve literacy in San Antonio. We are asking that each student participant bring a new or gently used book, which will be donated to a local charity.

TRIO Day will begin at 7:00 am at the UTSA Main Campus and conclude at 2:30 pm. The cost of attendance is a flat rate of $ 20.00 dollars for all students and staff, which includes lunch and a TRIO Day t-shirt. All payments will need to be made prior to the event and can be handled through a PO, check or credit card. Please complete the registration form and submit payment to Sonia.Valencia@utsa.edu by the registration deadline of March 28, 2019.

Please contact Darrell C Balderrama at (210) 458-4274 for additional questions regarding this year’s event.

We look forward to seeing you at TRIO Day at UTSA!
