The UTSA Parent College and Career Readiness Academy, Class of 2016 Graduated on Saturday, June 25

The Parent College and Career Readiness Academy is a collaborative partnership between UTSA and the ESC Region 20 community and is administered by the Institute for P-20 Initiatives. As the university partner, the UTSA Institute for P-20 Initiatives is responsible for creating parent leaders who will serve as positive role models for their peers and students within the ESC Region 20 community. Under the premise that student success starts at home, the program provides each parent participant with an introduction to higher education as well as valuable resources to be used with their children and community. Also, the program is designed to help parents adjust to high school and establish skills that will assist them in being successful community leaders. By participating in the ceremony, parent graduates become role models for their children and other parents in the community.
