The Texas Mentoring Partnership, (TMP) a program of the UTSA Office of P-20 Initiatives, hosted the event which included presentations on mentoring programs that help students to succeed in high school and college. The TMP is focused on advancing the quality of the local mentoring field, engaging a wide variety of public and private stakeholders to increase both the number of volunteer mentors as well as resources for the local mentoring field, collecting statewide data on a regular basis to describe the impact of mentoring and identify gaps and expanding public and private support and investment in mentoring through public awareness and advocacy efforts.
All mentoring programs in Texas are encouraged to register their program with MENTOR, the National Mentoring Partnership.
