The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas' vision is successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all. 

Café College

 Designed to help high school and middle school students gain the knowledge and skills they need to obtain a college education. Many resources are provided to students such as: College Admission Assistance, financial Aid Guidance, Career Exploration, College Applications, Advising, and SAT & ACT Preparation.

Communities In Schools of San Antonio

By developing positive self-esteem, confidence and respect, CIS-SA helps to realize the ultimate goal of young people graduating from high school and going on to reach their highest potential as successful citizens, positive contributors to the community and full participants in society. 

Empowerment 21

To provide social skill, vocational, educational, and job search counseling and services to teens; to place them in a job with an employer who will also help to mentor the youth.  EP 21 wants to serve as program management for the creation of a responsible workforce for the 21st century by enabling the youth participants an opportunity to learn employable skills, and obtain multiple scholarships, while becoming better citizens for America. 

Generation Texas

Key Goals:

1. To develop a commitment among stakeholders to create a college-going culture in Texas public schools that prepares all students for a post-secondary education
2. To clarify the processes of applying for admission and student financial aid
3. To increase awareness of and build support for the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards

P16 Plus

Mission-Insure that every child dramatically improves their educational success in school, college and career within Bexar County.

Vision- Convene and facilitate educational enhancing efforts to inspire and prepare our communities’ families and students for success.

United Way Bexar County

For seventy years, United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County has funded agencies and programs that reach out to individuals, families and children throughout San Antonio and Bexar County. United Way is also getting to the heart of problems through business and community partnerships that improve early care and education for our children strengthen families to become more financially stable and develop individual capacity for success.
